The solar panel is designed with an internal controller, which uses the battery capacity and night lux to provide long light time.

This is a great kit for those building their own yard lighthouse, but can also be used to upgrade older lighthouses.

No moving parts to wear out! The beacon has a solid state design with multiple revolving LED bulbs to simulate a real rotating lighthouse. There is a button on the back of the solar panel that lets you change between three different modes:

1. Steady (all LED's lit for a bright always-on beacon)

2. Revolving (authentic rotating beacon)

3. Flashing (a slow, fading on/off light)

The beacon will come on by itself when the sun goes down, then turn off automatically at dawn. It will always return to the last mode selected. There is an on/off switch on the back of the solar panel which allows you to turn off power to the light.

The beacon is bright enough to see across your yard. Each LED is approximately 37 Lumens which is brighter than most pathway lights. In the steady and flashing modes, all LED's will be lit and be around 200 lumens. The 4.17 V power supply will keep the beacon nice and bright. The brightness is not overbearing, so you don't have to worry about the neighbors.

The beacon itself is 4" x 4" with a 5" mounting flange on the bottom. The cord comes out of the bottom, so you simply drill a hole in the top of your lighthouse and run the cord down and to your solar panel. Super easy installation!

The placement of the solar panel is up to you. The 8" x 6" panel can be mounted to the body of the lighthouse with two screws or attached to the optional ground stake and placed up to 16 ft. away from the light. Such flexibility! You can enclose the light, and have a completely remote solar panel.

The solar panel can be tilted and placed in any direction to receive optimal sunlight for charging. The best direction is the southern sky. An on/off switch located on the back of the panel allows you to turn off the power to the light, while still letting the battery charge.

Much Brighter than Path Lights.

Size of Beacon is 4 x 4 x 5"

Mount Directly to Lighthouse or Remotely.
