- This Bonsai Akadama (3-6mm) is fired clay from 100% natural volcanic soil, eco-friendly, no additional fillers, no paint, no dyes, no chemicals, and provides the tree with moisture while preventing compaction. - This professional-grade akadama is well packed in a reusable sealing bag, the package weights 6 pounds per bag. - Akadama soil changes color (it darkens) when wet, indicating when to water your plant. Keep an eye that you don’t overwater them or don’t leave them under-watering, which retain their form when dry and absorb water when wet. - The akadama is one of the most commonly used mediums for bonsai soil, it’s rarely used on its own. Combining particles with different structural and water-retention properties allows for the creation of nearly limitless bonsai mixes. - Akadama is highly porous in nature, and favors faster drainage. It also helps in spreading nutrients to your bonsai tree roots. It ticks off all the necessary requirements succulents needs for proper growth.
