Product description
Planting Seeds For Life
Is the Micro 20 Right For You?
Twenty Blocks. One Press. Fine Seeds Done Right.
Press. Seed. Nest.
The original soil blocker. British made since the 1960s. Built for gardeners who grow with intention.
The Micro 20 makes twenty 3/4" soil blocks per press. These are small ? intentionally so. They're designed for fine seeds like lettuce, tomato, basil, parsley, celery, and flowers that need a compact start before moving up in block size.
This tool is not the recommended starting point for most gardeners. If you're new to soil blocking, or if you plan to grow squash, cucumbers, pumpkins, melons, beans or peas, the Mini 4 is the better first tool. Its 2" blocks handle the majority of seeds and give you more flexibility and greater success from day one.
The Micro 20 earns its place when you need volume ? twenty starts per press ? when you're growing fine-seeded crops that benefit from an earlier start, or when greenhouse or indoor space is limited and conserving tray space matters. It works best as part of the Ladbrooke nesting system: Micro 20 blocks nest directly into Mini 4 blocks, eliminating repotting entirely.
If you're not sure which tool to start with, start with the Mini 4.
Twenty 3/4" blocks per press. Efficient, consistent, and ready for seeding in seconds. Ideal for gardeners starting large quantities of fine-seeded crops.
Lettuce, basil, celery, petunias, snapdragons ? seeds that need a compact start thrive in 3/4" blocks. Each block has a pre-formed seed dimple sized for small seeds.
Handmade in England to the same standard since the 1960s. Premium EP-coated steel resists corrosion and soil chemicals season after season.
Fill your container with moistened soil blocking mix. Press the Micro 20 firmly down and lift to reveal twenty perfectly formed 3/4" blocks, ready for your finest seeds.
Each block has a built-in indentation sized for fine seeds. One seed per block. No thinning needed. Every block becomes one healthy start.
When your seedling is ready to upsize, the 3/4" Micro block drops directly into the indentation of a 2" Mini 4 block. No repotting. No root disturbance. Just growth.
Germinate fine seeds in twenty 3/4" starter blocks. Perfect first step for the nesting system.
Four 2" blocks per press. The most versatile tool in the line and the recommended starting point for most gardeners.
One large block per press. Built-in indentation receives a 2" Mini 4 block directly ? no repotting, no root disturbance.
Micro 20 blocks nest into Mini 4 blocks. Mini 4 blocks nest into Maxi blocks. One continuous system from germination to transplant.
