Apply the bait in the evening, as slugs and snails travel and feed mostly at night or early in the morning. Use it during calm weather when rain isn’t predicted for the next 24 hours to help ensure that wind or rain doesn’t blow or wash the bait off the treatment area.

Use a standard broadcast spreader for broadcast application in large areas or a standard granular spreader for row application. Apply the granules evenly, not in piles, on moist soil with little or no standing water. To treat likely areas of infestation, scatter it around the perimeter of your garden, between rows or around the base of individual plants.

Sweep any product that lands on a driveway, sidewalk or street back onto the treated area of the lawn or garden. Don’t allow the bait to enter or run off into storm drains, drainage ditches, gutters or surface waters.

Reapply the bait as it’s consumed or at least every two weeks. Apply more frequently if the infestation is severe, if the area is heavily watered or after long periods of heavy rain.
