Product description

Josh's Frogs 1/4" - 3/8" Small Dubia Roaches

1/4" - 3/8" Dubia Roaches are a great small feeder for small or young:

Are you tired of smelly, loud, escaping crickets?

What benefits do Blaptica dubia have for my pets?

But what if they don't all arrive alive?

How are they packed in the winter when it is cold?

Our Dubia Roaches are sorted by hole size in sorting bins, then packaged based on weight. Because of this, the size and number of roaches will vary slightly; there may be tiny Dubia babies mixed in. We weigh in your favor - you will receive more Dubia than you've ordered!

While waiting to feed Dubia to your pets, they should be stored in a plastic container without a lid, or with a lid that has holes, with the piece of egg crate they come in. They cannot climb smooth surfaces, but can climb silicone present in glass aquariums if you choose to use one.

Our dubia may come with Buffalo beetles (Alphitobius diaperinus), also known as lesser mealworms. Buffalo beetles will not harm dubia, and will in fact eat decaying organic matter such as old food and dead roaches to help keep your dubia colony clean and healthy.

Blaptica dubia roach cultures do not have an odor when maintained properly. Blaptica dubia roaches cannot climb smooth surfaces or fly, making escapee Blaptica dubia roaches unlikely. Blaptica dubia roaches also do not make noise, a pleasant bonus when compared to the traditional feeder insect, the cricket.

Blaptica dubia roaches have recently become a common feeder insect for various animals, due to the ease of culture, cleanliness, fast reproductive rate, high protein to chitin content, nutritional value, and size range of Blaptica dubia.

Our goal is to get insects to customers that are alive on arrival every single time! We understand that sometimes because of extreme temperatures, handling mishaps, or shipping mistakes that just doesn't happen. For the times when your live items don't quite make it, we have a generous 3 Day Life Insurance Policy* on all live insects!

When the temperatures drop we switch over to boxes with foam and heat packs. We definitely want them to have the best chance of survival! If you have an unknown bag of white stuff arrive in your box, that's a temperature buffer and can be thrown away; please do not try to feed it to your feeders.

Josh's Frogs has the proper USDA permits in place to legally ship Dubia Roaches across most state lines. As long as you do not live in one of those states, you can legally order and receive Dubia Roaches from Josh's Frogs. We partnered with the USDA to create a handout informing any insect/animal/plant purchasers to not release organisms into the wild, and how to dispose of them properly. This informative flier is included free of charge with every Dubia Roach purchase.
