From the manufacturer

Flying insects are attracted by the light and trapped by a dual-sided adhesive backing hidden by our Essentials Shield.

The Raid Essentials Light Trap harnesses continuous light technology to attract flying pests

Place traps in areas with heavy flying insect activity and keep plugged in 24/7. When the blue light is on, the light trap is working.

Check refill often and replace once full of insects. Replace refill every 30 days for best performance
