When switched on, the device starts in mode one?auto-cycling through all features. And it's recommended to set the volume to a medium level.

If you want to enter mode 5, press the button four times in a sequence. Then, compare with the instructions to ensure if it is flashing lights, infrared detection, and ultrasonic features.

If you're unsure which mode the device is in. Simply turn it off by twisting the knob to the left. Then power on and device will reset to mode 1. Finally, you can proceed with step 2 to adjust the mode as needed.
